The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a redevelopment waiver. If granted, the project need not comply with the requirements of the State’s Design Manual for quantity control.

Project Description: |
The project has an approximate area of 0.748 acres and is located north and south of Aliceanna Street between the north-bound and south-bound lanes of South Broadway Street. The project will consist of interior renovations to the existing North Market, replacement of the existing North Market parking lot with a patio walkway and landscaping, and construction of a New South Market building at the location of the existing South Market parking lot. The Applicant is requesting a redevelopment waiver in accordance with Article 7, §23-7 of the City Code. The existing impervious area coverage meets the conditions for this waiver. The Applicant will satisfy the water quality controls for this project by payment of fee-in-lieu of on-site stormwater management for 0.19 ac of this project.
