The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a qualitative control waiver.

Project Description: There is no specific address or intersection for this project. This Sanitary Contract covers approximately 2,800 acres in the northeast area of Baltimore City. Zip codes include 21205, 21206, 21213, and 21214. The project is strictly a utility maintenance project. The nature of the work involved with this project is limited to rehabilitating sanitary sewer pipes and manholes, and the project shall return the disturbed areas to a predevelopment runoff condition. Due to the existing impervious area within the limit of disturbance (LOD) being over 40% of the total LOD, this project can be classified as Redevelopment. The disturbed portions of roads, sidewalks, and lawns will all be restored to their original surface condition, and there will not be any hydrologic changes.
The Applicant is requesting a qualitative control waiver in accordance with Article 7, Division II, §23-2 of the City Code. The Applicant has demonstrated that 1.11 disturbed acres of the 2,800 acre project will return the disturbed area to a predevelopment runoff condition. The applicant will not be required to provide qualitative control controls for 1.11 disturbed acres of area for of this project.
