Application for Waiver

The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a waiver to the Baltimore City Stormwater Management Ordinance 10-277. The applicant must provide Stormwater management for the proposed project whether or not the waiver is granted.

Project Description: The project site is located between South East Avenue and South Robinson Street, south of the alley between Elliott Street and Toone Street in Canton and extends to Toone Street. The site is Lot 18 and Lot 18A on Block Plat 1898. The combined lot areas total 0.74+ acres. The project will construct a new apartment building on the site. The project meets the requirements of the 2010 Baltimore City Stormwater Management Ordinance by implementing environmental site design practices to the maximum extent practicable, with an impervious area reduction and a green roof.
The Applicant is requesting a Quantitative Control Waiver in accordance with Section 23-7 (b) of the City Code. The project meets the definition of “Redevelopment” as described in 21-1(t) of the City code.
The Applicant is requesting a Qualitative Control Waiver in accordance with Baltimore City Code Section 23-7 (c) (3). The Applicant has demonstrated through engineering studies that Environmental Site Design has been implemented to the maximum extent practicable.
