Application for Stormwater Management Waiver

The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a variance to the Baltimore City Stormwater Ordinance 10-277. The applicant is requesting a waiver in accordance with Subtitle 24-3 of the Baltimore City Code.

Project Description: The purpose of this project is to fix a slope failure located in the north of the site, along Maidens Choice Creek. The proposed work includes installation of one keystone retaining wall and one gabion retaining wall to stabilize the south side of the stream bank within the subject property. In addition, a small area – about 170 square feet – of the existing driveway will be repaved as part of the slope repair project. In order to meet the 2010 Baltimore City SWM Ordinance requirements for the proposed improvements, waivers for stormwater management water quality and quantity control are requested. The project is a maintenance project which will not create any new impervious surfaces and all disturbed area will be returned to its original condition.
