Application for Waiver
The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a waiver to the Baltimore City Stormwater Management Ordinance 10-277. The applicant must provide Stormwater management for the proposed project whether or not the waiver is granted.
Applicant: Mueller Homes, Inc., 7520 Main Street, Sykesville, MD 21784
Project Description: The site has an area of 0.94 acres (more or less) and currently has two (2) existing residential buildings, open space and woods. The proposal is to raze the existing structures and construct a new single family residence. The existing access to Wildwood Lane will be maintained.
The project meets the requirements of the 2010 Baltimore City Stormwater Management Ordinance by implementing environmental site design practices to the maximum extent practicable. The proposed development meets Environmental Site Design and Stormwater Management quality and quantity requirements with a proposed non-rooftop disconnection credits and Micro-Bioretention facility which will provide both subsurface and surface storage. Recharge requirements will be met in the proposed Micro-Bioretention facility.
The Applicant is requesting a Waiver in accordance with Section 23-7(b) of the City Code for New Development. The Applicant has demonstrated through engineering studies that Environmental Site Design has been implemented to the maximum extent practicable.
