Mayor Brandon M. Scott Announces One-Time Water Bill Discount During State of the City Address

During Mayor Brandon M. Scott’s State of the City Address on Monday, April 17, he announced that Baltimore City residential water customers are eligible to receive a one-time, 5 percent discount off their monthly water bill when they enroll in the Paperless Water Billing Program offered by the Department of Public Works. 

Residents Encouraged to Attend Final Public Meeting to Weigh in on the City’s 10-Year Solid Waste Management Plan

DPW will hold its fifth and final public meeting on Monday, April 24, to present the final draft of the 10-Year Solid Waste Management Plan and collect comments from community members. The plan covers solid waste collection systems, trash and recycling pickup, composting, and sustainability programs. Public input guides the 10-Year Solid Waste Management Plan’s development.

10-Year Solid Waste Management Plan Final Draft Presentation at April 10 Public Meeting

On Monday, April 10, 2023,  the Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) will hold its fourth public meeting to present the final draft of the 10-Year Solid Waste Management Plan and gather community input. The plan covers solid waste collection systems, trash and recycling pickup, composting, and sustainability programs. Public input guides the 10-Year Solid Waste Management  Plan’s development.

Good Friday Holiday: DPW Offices, Sanitation Yards Closed Friday, April 7

In observance of Good Friday, Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Director Jason W. Mitchell, Ed.D., reminds residents that DPW Offices and Sanitation Yards will be closed Friday, April 7, 2023. Trash and recycling collections WILL BE impacted by the holiday closure. Trash/Recycling make-up day is Saturday, April 8, 2023.
