Water Billing Resumes: Bills will reflect charges for multiple months

Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Director Rudolph S. Chow, P.E., today announced that water billing for Baltimore City and Baltimore County will resume on August 7, 2019, marking an end to the disruption caused by a ransomware attack that began May 6.

Sign Up Now for the Annual Mayor’s Fall Cleanup

Registration for the Mayor’s Fall Cleanup is under way, and continues until Friday, October 18. Community leaders from all over Baltimore can call 311 to register their neighborhoods and volunteers for participation in this big cleaning event.  This year’s Fall Cleanup takes place Saturday, October 26, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Sewer Overflow affecting Western Run Reported

Work is in progress to abate a slow but steady sanitary overflow at the 6300 block of Wirt Avenue which discharges into the Western Run. Over several weeks the volume reached more than 40,000 gallons.  Work continues on sewer lines in the area to fix the overflow. 

Howard Street Progress to Allow for Street Openings

Work on the large void at Pratt and Howard Streets is being performed in a comprehensive, smart, and safe manner.  More traffic lanes should be open next week.
