Mayor Brandon M. Scott, alongside the Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) and Mayor’s Office of Community Affairs, has announced the return of the Mayor’s Annual Spring Clean-up and day of service, which will be held on April 27, 2024.

Residents, volunteer groups, and community associations are encouraged to register now to be part of the city-wide effort to beautify neighborhoods. The event will run on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 9 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Mayor Scott, accompanied by cabinet members representing City agencies, volunteer-led cleaning crews, and DPW Solid Waste workers, will visit communities participating in the clean-ups. Community associations, block leaders, volunteers, and organizations throughout the city are encouraged to call 311 to register their cleaning activities. Participants who register their cleaning activities can request that City trucks visit their locations to collect debris.

To volunteer at a predetermined location, please visit mayor.baltimorecity.gov/annual-spring-cleanup. In addition to pre-registered events, during this citywide day of cleaning, residents are encouraged to take part by cleaning where they live by cleaning up loose litter around their properties, alleyways, and curbsides.

For registered community groups, DPW will provide 50 trash bags to support cleaning activities. To support individual cleaning activities, DPW will provide five trash bags to registrants. Starting March 25, bags can be picked up at the following DPW locations: 2840 Sisson St. (Monday- Saturday) or 111 Kane St. (Monday-Friday) from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Participants should be ready to provide registration information to receive their collection bags. Residents can also request stormwater credit applications when calling 311 to register their cleaning activity.
