The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts (BOPA), in collaboration with the City of Baltimore, is thrilled to announce the headliners for Artscape 40. Artscape, the city’s biggest cultural event of the year, returns to the summer, scheduled to kick off on Friday, August 2nd and close out on Sunday, August 4th. The headliners will all perform on the Mt. Royal Station Main Stage.

On Saturday, August 3rd at 8:45 p.m., the incomparable Queen of Percussion Sheila E . hits the stage. In the 40th year since her album “The Glamorous Life,” debuted, the prolific singer, songwriter, musician, producer, actress, and CEO is an appropriate choice for Saturday night at Artscape 40. Also, attendees can enjoy acts such as Joi Carter (Neo Soul/RnB), Live From The Paradox (House/Hip-Hop), and WhoCamille (Hip-Hop) performing earlier in the day on the Main Stage.

Gracing the Main Stage on Sunday, August 4th will be Navasha Daya and the Trinidad & Tobago Steel Drum Band. Then at 3:00 p.m. the legendary band The Original Wailers featuring Al Anderson lead guitarist for Bob Marley & The Wailers, will close out this year’s celebration as the Sunday night headliner.

The first night of Artscape 40 closes with a very special act to be announced in the days to come.
