The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a qualitative control waiver.

Project Description:

The project has an approximate area of 0.55 acres and is located south of the intersection of Moravia Road and Moravia Park Drive. The project will consist of roadway stabilization via the construction of beam and lagging wall and natural stream channel bank stabilization. Moravia Road currently has one lane closed to traffic due to public safety concerns associated with the bank failure. This project is to repair and stabilize the slope so that Moravia Road may be opened to traffic.

The Applicant is requesting a qualitative control waiver in accordance with Article 7, Division II, §23-2 of the City Code. The Applicant has demonstrated that the slope stabilization project will return the disturbed area to a predevelopment runoff condition. The project is a maintenance project and will not include any new impervious area. The applicant will not be required to provide qualitative control controls for this project.
