Application for Redevelopment and Quantitative and Qualitative Control Waivers
The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a qualitative control and quantitative control waivers. .

Project Description: | The project has an approximate LOD of 19.7 acres and is located offshore immediately east of MedStar Harbor Hospital. The project will consist of the construction of approximately 9.3 acres of tidal wetlands and 2,350 LF of gravel shoreline in the Middle Branch community of Baltimore Harbor. The Applicant is requesting a qualitative control waiver in accordance with Article 7, Division II, §23-2 of the City Code. The Applicant has demonstrated that the 19.5 ac of the project will return the disturbed area to a predevelopment runoff condition. The applicant will not be required to provide qualitative control controls for 19.7 ac of this project. The Applicant is requesting a Quantitative Control Waiver in accordance with Article 7, §23-1 of the City Code. The Applicant has demonstrated that 4.37 ac of the project has a direct, concentrated discharge of stormwater to tidal waters. The applicant will not be required to provide quantitative controls for 19.5 ac of this project.
