The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a variance of Stormwater Management.

Project Description: The project has an approximate disturbed area of 0.24 acre and is located at the northeast quadrant of the intersection of East Pratt Street and Grundy Street. The project consists of removal and replacement of contaminated soils, landscape replacement, paving replacement, and parking lot renovations to support the interior renovations of the Highland Plaza Co-op apartments.    

The Applicant is requesting a variance in accordance with Article 7, Division II, §23-4 of the City Code for approximately 0.024 acre of this project.  The Applicant has demonstrated that water quantity controls are not necessary, as Applicant is removing existing Impervious Area.  The Applicant is unable to provide qualitative control for the 0.024 acre of impervious area; Applicant is unable to direct drainage to a SWM facility.  Applicant will provide a Fee-in-lieu.
