Application for Qualitative Control Waiver

The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a qualitative control waiver.

Project Description: Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE) is planning gas facilities modification work at the S­­pring Gardens Valve House Facility.  The project has an approximate area of 0.11 acres and is located within the private property of Baltimore Gas and Electric bounded by West Ostend Street (to the North), Leadenhall Street (to the West and South), and Race Street (to the East).  The project will consist of installation of six new 24” steel connections to existing underground cast iron main.  Work will also include disconnects on existing cast iron main.

The Applicant is requesting a qualitative control waiver in accordance with Article 7, Division II, §23-2 of the City Code.  The Applicant has demonstrated that the 0.11 ac of the utility project will return the disturbed area to a predevelopment runoff condition. The applicant will not be required to provide qualitative control controls for this 0.11 ac project.
