Application for Redevelopment and Qualitative Waiver

The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a redevelopment waiver. If granted, the project will still need to provide water qualitative controls, per the requirements of the State’s Design Manual.

Project Description: The project has an approximate area of  0.62 acres and is located between E. Biddle Street to the north, E. Chase Street to the south, N. Chester Street to the west and N. Collington Street to the east. The project will consist of  A Hoen & Company Building to be renovated and parking area to be repaved. 

The Applicant is requesting a redevelopment waiver in accordance with Article 7, §23-7 of the City Code.  The existing impervious area coverage meets the conditions for this waiver.  The project will provide impervious area reduction to satisfy the requirements of this waiver for 0.06 ac of this project.

AND

The Applicant has demonstrated that on-site water quality control is not practicable. The Applicant will satisfy the water quality controls for this project by payment of fee-in-lieu of on-site stormwater management for 0.40.ac of this project.
