On Friday, December 9, the City’s 43^rd annual Mitten Tree Campaign launches with a holiday-themed celebration in the lobby of the Abel Wolman Municipal Building, 200 Holliday Street. The Mitten Tree Ceremony will start at 11:30 a.m. The kick-off ceremony was previously scheduled for Thursday, December. 8.

This year’s ceremony will feature musical performances by the students from Abbottston Elementary School and the Boys and Girls Club - Franklin Square.

Citizens and City employees are encouraged to leave donations of mittens, gloves, hats, and scarves in the collection bin or hang them on the Mitten Tree, both located in the lobby of the Abel Wolman Municipal Building, 200 Holliday Street. Donations will be accepted through Wednesday, Dec. 21, and will go to children in need.
